Growing up in Texas, I never really experienced a true fall of cooler evening temperatures and watching the leaves change during the proper autumn months. This year, I got an Airbnb for a month beginning in mid-September to embrace all things fall every single weekend! I found that the last weekend of September led to some of the best foliage in the mountains and then more colors turn in Denver early to mid October.
There are endless places to go leaf peeping for all the beautiful golden aspens, so I hope these photos inspire you to visit the adventurous and outdoorsy state of Colorado!
